Covid and Covids (2020) was a lockdown project that began by helping reduce my anxiety when excercising outside in my local park. I began to pay attention to the birds I saw and would draw them and look up basic information on them when I got home. It became less about the birds and more about the mental health impact of covid, race and class disadvantages, and the Black Lives Matter protests occurring during this time.
